We Become What We Love: How Our Everyday Routine Shapes Our Life With God

A Conversation with James K.A. Smith

“You are what you eat!” This popular exhortation to practice healthy dietary habits has a direct application to our Christian lives. “You are what you love” is one way to put it. The patterns and habits of our daily lives are not just something we do; they do something to us, shaping us in ways we don’t notice in the moment.
During the season of Lent we have an opportunity to consider a reorientation of our lives and to use the power of habit consciously to draw closer to God.
Guest speaker James K.A. Smith is professor of philosophy at Calvin College, an award-winning author, and a widely-traveled speaker.
Registration and refreshments begin at 8:45 a.m. and the conference begins at 9:00 a.m.
This event is free an open to the public; help us plan for this event by letting us know if you will be there.
