Deborah Haarsma - serves as the President of BioLogos, a position she has held since January 2013. Previously, she served as professor and chair in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Haarsma often speaks to churches, colleges, and schools about the relationships between science and Christian faith. She is author (along with her husband Loren Haarsma) of Origins: Christian Perspectives on Creation, Evolution, and Intelligent Design (2011, 2007), a book presenting the agreements and disagreements of Christians regarding the history of life and the universe. Haarsma is an experienced research scientist, with several publications in the Astrophysical Journal and the Astronomical Journal on extragalactic astronomy and cosmology.
Tremper Longman - is Distinguished Scholar and Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, as well as annual Visiting Professor of Old Testament at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and the Seminary at Ambrose University College (Calgary). He is the author of over thirty books, including Science, Creation and the Bible: Reconciling Rival Theories of Origins with physicist Richard F. Carlson. He is an editor and contributor to the Zondervan Dictionary of Christianity and Science. John Walton and he are the authors of The Lost World of the Flood. He is married and lives in Alexandria, VA.
Craig Story - is Professor of Biology at Gordon College, a Christian liberal arts college located on the North Shore of Massachusetts. There, he directs the Health Professions program and teaches a number of cell biology courses. He studied antibody transport in pregnancy for his doctoral research at Brandeis University, and in his postdoctoral training at MIT and Harvard Medical School he worked on an unusual virus immune evasion process. Since 2013, Dr. Story has worked with church leaders, seminary professors, and the public to foster important conversations about science and the Christian faith.
Peter Wehner - is senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. In 2015 he was named a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times, where he writes a monthly column. Pete writes widely on political, cultural, religious, and national-security issues for numerous publications—including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The Atlantic, Financial Times, The Weekly Standard, National Review, Commentary, National Affairs, Christianity Today and Time magazine. He has also appeared frequently as a commentator on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and C-SPAN television. He is the author (with Arthur C. Brooks) of Wealth and Justice: The Morality of Democratic Capitalism and (with Michael Gerson) of City of Man: Religion and Politics in a New Era.
David Renwick - is the Senior Pastor of National Presbyterian Church. He is a graduate of St. Andrew’s University in Scotland, where he studied Applied Mathematics. He received his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. in New Testament from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. David has been an ordained Presbyterian Minister for 40 years, serving diverse congregations in Newfoundland, Canada; San Antonio, Texas; Lexington, KY; and Spartanburg, South Carolina, prior to coming to National in 2011.
